If only I knew

what to say!!

I like to have words on my pages......not neccesarily deep and meaningful ones and certainly not anything very personal......but words of some sort......... I had no idea what to put on this one so saying just that became the perfect words to use!!

Time flies

so the saying goes and it certainly seems to when I am moving from one place to another (UK to Kazakhstan) and settling back into life here, have been back 2 weeks already!
Have managed to squeeze in working on this page  in between all sorts of other stuff!

You drive me crazy

I made this last week intending to post it on Valentines Day but I never quite got around to it, oh well........better late than never!
During a sorting out session I found a bunch of old tax discs............

I picked out the red/pink ones and used them on this page..........hence the corny wording.......you DRIVE me crazy!!!!!!

Forgotten

I bought this doll stood on a musical box a few days ago......this weekend was her time to get decorated!!
 She now looks like this!

I love the fact that the head is quite loose.....it's actually held on with a rubber band......so it can be set at an angle......I like her looking slightly down.

For those that think the no eye thing is pretty creepy she still has her eyes and they still open and close
round + round + round she goes, where she stops nobody knows.

Frog on a frog

For years this little frog hung on the end of the pull switch in my bathroom........now he is just a lonely little Frog Prince waiting for a princess to kiss him.........hhmmmm maybe I should make him one:)

London weekend

I spent this last weekend in London......my friends daughter lives there so we had a place to stay!!

Saturday saw us heading to the Museum of London to see The Cheapside Hoard, an amazing collection of 16th and 17th century jewellery that was discovered in 1912 hidden buried in a cellar

It was gobsmacking to think that this stuff was so old, it was intricate and absolutely beautiful.

In the evening we stayed in the city to go on a Jack the Ripper walk......we have wanted to do this for ages so it was good to finally do it! I thought it might be a bit creepy but it wasn't too bad!!!

Sunday morning saw us getting up early and heading back into the city to join a mud-larking tour along the banks of the Thames. It was lead by an archaeologist and it was really interesting!!!Last time I was in London I bought a necklace made from sections of old clay pipe stem that had been found on the banks of the river......now I have some of my own to make something with.

All in all it was a great weekend! Can't wait till next time!

Don't bug me!

Yesterday a friend gave me these bugs in a box......I LOVE them!!!! They are made using bindis.....isn't that clever!

So, I decided I wanted to have a go at some of my own.......I knew I had these little jewel thingies somehwhere so after a bit of a search I found them and this is what I ended up with!

Louise was very clever and drew the legs etc on her bugs.......I cheated a little and used this stamp.

Here they are together soyou can see just how small these things really are!

Once upon a time

I thought it was a good idea to join in with a calendar page challenge.
I have been sorting out in my studio (again.....it seems to be a never ending battle with the piles of "stuff") and came across this page.......I never even started filling it in!!
Oh well, it seems that deadlines and me don't go together!
